While visiting a friend last weekend at Duquesne University, I had the pleasure of meeting Scotty over at Pittsburgh Jeans Company where you can find the right pair of jeans no matter your size, cut, or style.  They even had a pair of Levi's on display...waist size 60!  Since the early 1900's, the Scott family and this denim destination, has been providing Pittsburgh with the finest jeans they can find from around the world.  From LA to Italy and all the way to Japan, they're willing to travel anywhere to seek out the best products possible.

What was best about the opportunity to visit Scotty and his shop was gaining some inspiration and ideas that can be used during the creation of our BLEUDENIM store in Paris.  Between the second story bar, abundance of jean options, and a passion for denim; we know that BLEUDENIM and the Pittsburgh Jeans Company will have quite a bit in common.

A Gentleman Gets Dressed

Black Fleece Collection Fall 2011

The blazer is one of the most essential garments every real gentleman has and cherishes. With jeans or trousers it's a quick way to dress up your style. Now...a new take on the timeless classic.

Red and blue are my two favorite colors to begin with...so these ties are that much better. The mix of thin and thick lines on these ties really makes them stand out.

Formal wear has never looked as cool as this black tie ensemble. The details on this tuxedo are just too many to list...enjoy!

It's good to see that Brooks Brothers and Thom Browne are still in collaboration together creating looks like these.

Noir Denim

No one ever said that bleu is the only way to rock denim.  Noir denim can be just as stylish, most often in a skinnier fit.  First, a slim pair of black jeans with layers of style on top...

Sandwiched perfectly between an eggplant blazer and authentic cowboy boots...

Combined with bleudenim on top while catching a last glimpse of sunshine...

A Second Chance

That was the point of the recent "2nd Chance at Life" charity fashion photoshoot event at Babson.

The event was the precursor to the the upcoming 2nd Chance Fashion Show on February 20th, 2011 at Bond Boston. Designed to raise awareness about paralysis and society's attitudes about it, it was recently written up in the Babson Freep: http://www.babsonfreep.com/2010/12/second-chance-fashion-show/ 

The photoshoot spanned two evenings and photos were taken of models showing dresses by Jeury Rosario and jewelry and other pieces by Isabella Louis. They brought along everything from a wheelchair (in the spirit of the event) to a crazy big set of rings. See more of the shenanigans below.

A Certain...Je Ne Sais Quoi

We recently had the good fortune of being introduced to the founder of Paris's hottest new online boutique, Je Ne Sais Quoi, known affectionately by its exponentially increasing customer base as "JNSQ." Even given the different nature of our projects, as we chatted, we saw many similarities and knew immediately that we had to share the JNSQ vision with the world.

JNSQ has been featured in Grazia, Glamour Germany, Elle France and Lucky Magazines, in addition to far too many well-known online publications to list. JNSQ's content speaks for itself, so we won't begin to list the great deals and hard to find brands and styles available at the site, but trust us when we say that everyone should have a peek. There are mens and womens selections, items in all price ranges, and a global trend of classic style throughout, which we love.


It seems that the founder, Mireille Nagourney, spends her days much in the same way we like to. You can watch some of it below:

Zero Waste

Style and creativity can exist anywhere, even in the trash.  "Zero Waste" was a recent event where looks were crafted from any and all resources available.  It was great to see what kind of pieces were made from left overs and scraps, proving that you don't necessarily need to spend hundreds on each outfit.  These pieces might not be the most "haute couture" or fashionable pieces this season, but they definitely break boundaries and prove how a little eco-friendliness can go a long way.

Swagger 360 Smells Good Too

Check out the collab Swagger 360 recently did with Ralph Lauren.  One thing that's for certain about Ralph Lauren is that they are a lifestyle brand.  It's great to see Swagger 360 do work with them because this blog truly displays how lifestyle and attitude connect.

We have been fans of Swagger 360 for quite some time, as the man behind it all really understands street style and respects the attention to detail that we are starting to see more and more of.  To learn more about Swagger 360 and to see more of the collaboration with Ralph Lauren, check out these clips and videos.
