The Boys of BLEUDENIM are back with SEED

Over the past three years Jordan and Nick have spent some time apart, while still remaining in close contact to prepare for a comeback of epic proportions.

Jordan finished up his degree at Babson and has also been working towards his Masters in International Luxury Management at the world-renowned IFM in Paris.

Nick has been learning about living organically and mastering
self-sufficiency on 35 acres in the lush hinterland of subtropical Northern NSW.

Together, they have what it takes to start a luxury hemp street style brand, determined to shape the decisions of their consumers by providing the most sustainable and environmentally conscious products possible.

BLEUDENIM allowed the team to dip their toes into the world of fashion...but now it's time to take that to the next level.

Introducing, SEED.

Turn Around Please!

La Pinte, carrefour de l'Odéon

So the first thing a lot of you are going to think may be this: "Nick took some creepy picture of a woman from behind without her knowing".  Not the case...I promise.  I noticed this great denim onesie from across the street and then approached her to explain the concept of BLEUDENIM.  The only response, you can take a picture from behind.  Consequently, you cannot see the button-down upper half, which I thought really added some unique detail.  Let's be honest though, it's just as great a look from behind as well.

Jeans in the Jardin

Jardin du Luxembourg Paris FRANCE

Yes ladies and gentleman, that is a denim coat (not just your plan old denim jacket) that you see.  This lovely piece comes equipped with a hood, and even better (which you cannot see) has toggle clasps in the front.  Glad to see her rockin' the roll while rockin' out to some jams as well.

Not Just For Walking

Easy style and pure comfort seem to go hand in hand.  This denim dress has the accents to catch your eye, but the concept of the dress is very basic.  The boots, the details speak for themselves.  These boots were made for more than just watching...they're eye catching too.

A Denim Duo

rue du Renard, Paris FRANCE

These two were just strolling along strutting their swag.  Denim from head to toe...that's what we like to see.  Nothing crazy special about the fit or the design but it's classic and comfortable, and that's what we like most.

A Little Kiss For The Camera

So you may be wondering where Slick and Clarence have disappeared to recently...if you did, it means you're a faithful reader and we appreciate your patience.  But we're back, and we're ready to start fresh this summer with both of us here in Europe.  From the pictures taken on a recent trip to Venice, I can already tell that we're in for a good summer.  The laid back way of life in most cities on this side of the pond translates to comfortable swag, displayed in outfits like this one.

The outfit itself might not seem like it took that much time to pull together, but one cannot overlook the attention to detail this lovely Italian has for her accessories.  What I found most appealing in this look was how well the brown and turquoise and denim all seem to accent each other...that and the endearing bises she seems to be giving the camera.  With warm summer weather clearly on its way; throw on your pair of comfortable jeans with a light sweater to match and you're good to go.

Lifted and Gifted

Miami, FL Bayfront Bicentennial Park

Ultra Music Festival didn't provide much in the way of bleudenim, but I managed to snag y'all this pic.

The practicality of the leather pieces can't be denied in a park with 100000 people. Neither can the sunglasses or the fact that this broad's got some nice legs. Just hope she's as practical with her iPhone- unless she's got a privacy screen that girl to her left is definitely checking out her girlfriend's naked pictures.

The shirt was lightweight and comfortable, and looked soft.

Smashin' Fashion

Park Manor South

Babo's back baby! We started BLEUDENIM simply taking pictures around our campus, but many of our recent posts have been taken on trips to New York and Paris. We're happy to say that we found a gem on campus today to share.

The leather bag matched with the shoes is decidedly dapper and the unstructured blazer, cardigan and scarves seem like soft and snuggly ways to chill bones on a brisk day. Look past the effortless look so you don't miss the attention to detail in his earring and under-collar.

A Night At The Theatre

Théâtre des Champs-Élysées

To some extent these two outfits are relatively similar, while each offering their fair share of unique style.  The jeans have a rather similar wash and up top there is a mixture of dark coats and chunky scarves.  Messenger bags over each of their shoulders like matching school children.  It seems like maybe only the shoes are different...but at the same time they each sport a distinct look.  What's even better is that they were only feet away from a pair of skinny fit chaps who were rocking a completely different look.

Sharing Straps

The matching this couple had going on was really cool...if only they weren't too fast for me to get some photos of the front.  An extra pair of suspenders on her might have been over the top, but the black on top bleudenim on the bottom with a chunky of pair of kicks is a really cool look.  Plus, you have to respect that they each carry a wallet chain and each seem to rock the skinny fit pretty well.

Round 2...Still Rockin' The Roll

Even though this outfit is so simple, it still speaks volumes. From the top down there is style written all over. Chunky would be a good word to describe most of the components; the extra thick cuff on the jeans, a slightly over-sized but seemingly comfortable chesterfield, and between the poofy bangs & collar tie I'm not sure there is room for much more...job well done.

La simplicité du chic

Nothing out of the ordinary in this one; just a bit of bleudenim, a cashmere for some extra warmth, and that timeless elegance we do so love.  This is what the simplicity of chic is all about.

Rockin' The Roll

So we finally made it back to Paris...of course it would have been just after fashion week.

Great mixture of cool blues, with a splash of white and brown.

Some people just go for one or two rolls, this guy went for a chunky cuff.

More Than Just Sick Shoes...

These purple monsters have already seemed to make their way to the web, but we wanted to pay our respects to the everything going on above his sock line.

Admittedly so, the shoes are great and the socks potentially better.  But this outfit is sick from head to toe.  Check out the layering, the details, the colors, the everything!

Time Warner Center Street Fashion
Check out that chunky watch and the classic denim jacket.
A bow tie to top it all off!

Cool frames, a great bow tie, classic denim jacket: this ensemble has it all...even the perfect amount of swag.  This is just a fine example of how BLEUDENIM appreciates the under-appreciated.

Laced Up

I love to catch people in the act of something like tying their shoes before asking for their picture.  A lot of times their immediate response is "well how should I stand?"  It's simple, just go back to what you were doing, style should always seem natural.  This look was great because the studded roll over on these boots is a new look and the act itself was so habitual.

Shades of Style

 Location: Washington Square South

Head to toe, top to bottom...no matter what you want to call it, that's exactly what this outfit is.  There is a great combination of blues and grays in this outfit that make it come together the whole way through.  Noteworthy are the well fitting fedora, super chunky checkered scarf that matches well with the sweater, and as always a great pair of pencil thin jeans...bleudenim at it's best.

These shoes are really great because they're just as much dessert boot as they are a distressed pair of oxfords.  Call them what you will, my feeling is they are great shoes no matter what.  From the back, this oufit looks great and really well put together.  The reddish lines on the bag add a bit of extra color to an otherwise neutral palette.  Every component of this ensemble fits him well and goes together...great outfit.

Red Blueberries

Location: NYC

We hope everyone is having lovely holidays. This photo of a bleu/blanc/rouge wearing Frenchman is our gift to you, as if we're not generous enough with you kids as it is.

More like, bleu, blanc and BOLD, though I think he doesn't even see it like that. Poor guy, he seems bored because it's too easy for him to stunt at this point. He's comfortable just following tried and true style tips and making 'em do work for him.

Take one look at our friend here and you just know how he gets dressed in the morning. His closet's probably full of great pieces and a universal color scheme that he already knows works for him. So he picks a couple of colors and makes sure to coordinate. And then he probably dances in front of the mirror singin, "Okay then back to basics, grab some red shoes and some white laces..." (That last part may just be me imagining everyone is as weird as I am- I don't care, judge me.)

They tell me there's probably 1-2 feet of snow where this picture was taken right about now. Enjoy the snowball fights, New Yorkers. Don't despair over car troubles, just be green and take the freakin' metro.

Stay fly...

His and Hers

I have to say, I really like the couples I've been posting recently.

Couples' dynamics shine through any photograph, and this one's shines brightly. Thus, not much has to be said about the photo. The things I feel compelled to mention are the his and hers scarves and the way each pairs his or her color with his sweater and her coat. The use of color is always appreciated, and its something that works even better in numbers.

The very image of classical elegance with the mere scent of affluence. No modern touch or alterations necessary, thank you very much.

Jake and Bake

I have found that in many facets of my life, from cooking to dressing, I enjoy mixing things that don't usually go together but that are great on their own, and mixing A LOT of these things. It's a masterpieces-are-never-finished kind of thing. I always go for the best in each category of piece I am looking for, which sounds like it would perpetuate a more "clothes make the man" line of thinking than the more favorable "man makes the clothes" perspective. But if you're doing it right, no one is able to argue the results. That's what this champ has done.

The chunky coat (note those authentic toggles and brand's signature print peeking out) creates a faux-prep feel that is followed up by the two-tone chukka/topsider hybrids- now THAT'S how you wear "boat shoes," kids. The backpack is a nice added touch to this theme.

The pièce de résistance of this outfit is the turquoise and silver ring the guy is wearing. Perfect pairing with the duffel coat somehow and it's masculine jewelry done right on a guy that I think we can all agree isn't exactly the stereotype of a guy's guy. It's inspiring.

Perhaps my favorite part of this look, though, is that the guy is wearing reputable brands that are not showy, and includes only one haute-couture designer and one personal piece to display a level of balance, modesty, and honesty that few can. This is reflected throughout the things I've mentioned and a few things I left to make an impression without my mention, and it's one of the reasons why this is my new favorite post.

P.S. For bonus points, play hide and seek with the guy's tattoo. I promise there's one visible in the photos.
